Sawgrass Mills, one of the largest malls in the United States of America, lies 11 miles to the west of Fort Lauderdale in Florida.

The mall opened its doors in October 1990 and in the middle of 1999 a further 27,000 square meters were added, expanding the total leasable space to approximately 193,000 square meters. The extensions took the form of an open promenade named "The Oasis at Sawgrass Mills". The complex houses popular well-known restaurants, sports shops and other specialty outlets, cinemas, cafés and bars. Sawgrass Mills is Florida's second-biggest tourist attraction after Disney World.
