In October 2004 the open-ended real estate fund KanAm grundinvest Fonds extended its portfolio by buying the first building in the Netherlands – the Fortis Tower in Rotterdam.

The 28-story single building is a landmark and situated in the best city location, near the stock exchange and next to the pedestrian precinct of Rotterdam. The Fortis Tower was built in 1996 according to the plans of the renowned architectural practice Murphy/Jahn, Chicago, and does not only have a concise architecture but also a very modern technical equipment. The building is fully leased to the Fortis Bank, one of Europe’s biggest financial services companies.
